Hello, Rochelle; we would be pleased to help you tell your story. Are you looking for an editor and publisher, or are you looking for a ghost writer? Please send us an email of your vision of this project to info@GreyWolfePublishing.com along with your contact information, and we will assist in any way we can. Thank you!

How does one become a ghost writer?
Diana Kathryn Plopa

Roberta,
The short answer is… study and practice.
The long answer is something we should discuss in depth, after the holiday. Feel free to send me an email directly, with your specific questions, and I will help as best as I can. My direct email is Diana@GreyWolfePublishing.com

Hi, this is Mark Hudson, and i had a poem published in the summer issue.
I’m working on my fall submission. Question: do you take art submissions?
I am also an artist and recently did a picture of a wolf. i wonder if you’d
be interested, or if you’re strictly poetry and prose.

Mark,
We are a book publishing company, and our focus is on helping writers see their work in print. However, we are always looking to broaden our connections with book illustrators, especially for our children’s book authors. If you have a portfolio that we can take a look at, we’d be happy to seek out a good fit for your artwork with one of our authors. Feel free to email me directly at Diana@GreyWolfePublishing.com with your contact information, and I’ll do my best to hook you up! 🙂

I’m sorry for the delay in responding, MJ. I’m not quite sure how we missed your note. In any event, YES! Grey Wolfe Publishing does handle children’s books of all varieties. We would be quite interested to discuss your manuscript with you.

Well, I’ve had two pieces accepted for the write to woof, and i look forward to hearing
the results of the Winter book. Next to work on, the book for the kids, and the fourth
of July annual. is there any way you could maybe send out a mass e-mail and be a
bit more specific what you are looking for? For example, i entered another poetry
contest with another book, the topic was, Winter; then and now. i called the editor
and asked what they were looking for, and they said, if it didn’t emphasize Then and
Now it would be disqualified. That helped me be more prepared. Are you hoping for
stories about the fourth of July for that book? Because i usually visit my relatives
on vacation during that week, maybe i can wrestle up some good memories. Mark H

Mark, We’re happy to publish your work! As for the Winter edition of “Legends, the only requirement is that your piece be either about winter or set in wintertime. We want to keep the requirement that broad in order to invite a wider diversity in the submissions. Please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!

I entered five pieces in the winter anthology. My questions were more about
the next two anthologies, the one for children, and the short story contest.
I guess I didn’t realize it was a short story contest, but i wanted to know if
there had to be a theme in mind. i want to start working on both soon,
hopefully, because time slips away before you know it. mark

Mark, The guidelines for the Grey Wolfe Storybook are pretty self-explanatory. G-rated, family friendly stories or poems about children, the process of growing up, or memories of childhood. Imagine a book you might read to children during bedtime or bath time, or special family time, and you get the idea.
The American Short Story contest has two big requirements; the first is that they all be stories – poems will not be accepted; and the second is that each story must be about Americans, or the American experience. Immigration stories are acceptable, just as long as in the end, the immigrant becomes an American citizen. We really want this collection to celebrate the USA!

One more question about the All-American short story contest. Can it be fiction
or non-fiction, or can it be a true story or a made-up one? That should be my
last question about this.
Diana Kathryn Plopa
January 27th, 2014 at 21:49
Mark, Yes, fiction and/or non-fiction are both acceptable! We look forward to your submission(s)!

I stumbled on your website and discovered I can use some direction in my desire to write at 50. I to have a degree in Psychology Jennifer as well as a MBA. Life have decided to present me a detour in an area out of my comfort zone. I do have stories and a title. The ghost writer sounds great but….. telling story to help others can be a given. Please don’t tell me I should take another class, I am degreed exhausted time to put all that I learned into action…. HELP…….

Really? A vanity press named Grey Wolfe? It’s obvious you are trying to take advantage of the name similarity with “Graywolf,” a very respected literary press. I’m surprised they haven’t sued you.
Diana Kathryn Plopa
March 17th, 2014 at 23:31
Dear Mr. Newman,
I’m sorry to read your comment. Your aggression and assumptions, clearly, are a result of not recognizing who Graywolf Press is, what their mission is; or for that matter, truly investigating who we are and what we bring to the market.
Graywolf Press is a non-profit publishing company. We are not. As is obvious, we are a for-profit publishing house. Furthermore, our philosophy is unique in the publishing industry today. As well, the name of our company has absolutely no connection with Graywolf Press, or was such a connection or affiliation ever intended. We are a family-owned business. Our family name is Wolfe, and it has been a part of the European and American lexicons a good deal longer than the 1974 incorporation date of Graywolf Press.
It saddens me to see that you would spew such venom toward us, when there are so many opportunities open to all of us, to you and to me, and to all those we encounter along our journey, to achieve all that we desire in exactly the way that serves us best, as individuals and as a company.
I hope that you discover some leniency toward allowing others to follow their passion; rather than attacking them for their choices.
My best wishes to you in all your endeavors.

I recently asked to join a writer group in relation to this publishing company , my interest was rejected as I was told this was an English writing group and I would be best suited else where! I can only assume it is because I applied under my Hebrew writing name of , Mayim , this was very insulting , I consider myself to be a great writer and refuse to be limited by anyone with their own agendas !!!

Dear Yvonne (aka Reevekah Mayim),
It’s too bad that you must jump to stereotypical racist conclusions. Actually, we have writers of many different backgrounds in our group, we do not dismiss writers on this basis. Furthermore, your invitation was rejected because your answers to our profile questions were nearly unintelligible, which led us to believe that you were not actually a writer of any sort. Just as a reminder, here were your profile answers:
I am reevekah
What genre(s) do you most enjoy writing?
I am a poet
Are you planning to work toward publication in 2014?
Yes
Do you plan to participate in NaNoWriMo in 2014?
?
What is it that you most want to get out of this group?
Net wkin (this phrase in particular, makes no sense to us.)
What is your preferred writing procrastination method?
I like a muse (and, this isn’t really an answer to the question.
Again, if you would like to reapply, we would be pleased to consider inviting you to join us.
We wish you much success in your writing pursuits.

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?
I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most
blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies
for being off-topic but I had to ask!
